WHAT ABOUT REORDERS?
Consumption varies greatly between herds and we've found it is not possible to anticipate which minerals a specific herd will need, but you'll find that many of these will not need to be reordered for quite some time. We have users still using the same original minerals a year later because their goats consume hardly any. You will find that you'll have about 5 or 6 top minerals you'll need to reorder fairly quickly but as your animals get into balance, they'll consume less and less, or switch to another few favorites as their needs change.

Which makes this system IDEAL for mixed species herds. That's one of my FAVORITE parts, not worrying if my goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens or any of my livestock are getting enough minerals!
LITTLE AVALON FARM'S EXPERIENCE WITH THE MINERAL BUFFET SYSTEM
Overall, I feel like the weight off my mind about whether or not they're getting what they need has been lifted. I'm enjoying watching the phases of their lives and how that impacts mineral consumption.
For example, they hardly touched phosphorus until the very end of summer, when pasture quality was diminishing. Then they were heavy on it for a few weeks before moving onto zinc primarily, as if gearing up for a zinc deficient winter.
It really has been an educational journey to see how much their consumption varies throughout the seasons and life stages.
I'm a firm believer that when we give the animals the choices they need and get ourselves out of the way, they have the instincts to seek and achieve optimal health.
I feel passionately that mineral buffet is the correct way to approach minerals and I can't wait to see more herds being able to offer it to their goats. If you already do, I'd love to hear how it's changing your herd's lives!

I am very excited about this mineral buffet! My sheep and goats have had access to the minerals for less than a week and I can already tell a positive impact. The first thing that happened is that they ate everything up right away! They have always had free access to a mineral blend, so this is very telling to me that the minerals from this starter kit are much better than any blend I have offered. After they ate everything, they have started to become more selective and it gives me insight as to which minerals they are lacking, as well as confidence that they are now getting exactly what they need. We order the 2# complete mineral starter kit on Black Friday 24’. Apparently so did MANY, MANY Others! There were some issues with vendors supplying them as demand was so high. I was blown away though at the constant level of communication and updates as to when they were reviving their raw material and when I could expect my order. It was such an incredible smooth process and more than worth the way! They have earned a customer for life! Plus I think my goats would kill me if I ever took these minerals away from them! They absolutely love the variety and ability to choose exactly what they want and need! We have 8 goats, the 2# starter kit was the perfect size for us! Great Job Avalon!

I started using the Mineral Buffet a little over a year ago with my does, I have 14. During that time I noticed that they just "bloomed", No health issues, coats are just beautiful, they are definitely thriving and are just the happiest, healthy bunch of goats!
I also have several wethers and 2 bucks which are kept separately in another field. This past December, with the help of the great sale that was going on, to make the mineral buffet available to the wethers and my 3 donkeys. I am so looking forward to seeing all of them "bloom" as well.

We have a small Mini Nubian herd of all ages and two dairy cows. We have used the mineral buffet for almost two years with great results. Shiny coats, no parasite issues, healthy kids and great milk production!
