Elemental Yellow Sulfur Powder 99% Purity

I have been battling a low-to-medium-grade lice problem in my herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats for years. I've asked a series of vets what to do and they always recommend a variety of external parasite chemicals that (supposedly) are safe to use when milking your goats. While I have tried a couple of different chemical treatments over the years, this has never sat well with me and, quite frankly, never truly got rid of the lice. In the winter of 2024/2025, the lice issue became more critical for some of my herd members, so my husband and I began an internet search journey to really figure out how to get rid of these parasites (hopefully for good). We came across Little Avalon and a blog post they had about sulfur and recommendations for its use from the Natural Goat Care book by Pat Coleby. In the summer of 2025, we began giving our goats MSM and applying this elemental yellow sulfur powder to see how it worked on the lice. After two applications, this made a HUGE difference!! We are working on modifying the barn hygeine practices too (no more deep litter in winter - I think this has been a big contributor to winter lice highs in my herd for years), and watching our herd during times of immunosuppression (late pregancy, birth, and post-partum). We are taking some preventative measures by continuing internal (MSM every other day, after doing daily doses for two-three weeks) and external (elemental yellow sulfur powder weekly) application through the fall to make sure the lice are GONEZO! The folks at Little Avalon have also been wonderful about answering my questions whenever I've got them (responding within 24-36 hours). As a working mom and farmer (among other things), I know the effort it takes to tend and manage a business as this family is doing. I GREATLY appreciate their efforts and the products this little company is making available to those of us who don't just want to douse our animals in petrochemicals. I look forward to getting the mineral buffet next - our Northern NH soils are so mineral depleted and I see that effect in our animals (not just my animals, but other animals on other farms throughout the region). This is a great product and is exactly what I wanted! The only thing I would say was at all negative was when I opened the package and there was sulfur out of the bag and all around inside the box and leaking out of the box onto my couch. Besides this my experience was very nice and is deserving of 5 stars. Thanks!

Our little herd had some lice that moved in this winter. I treated them with the Yellow Sulfur Powder on their backs from head to tail. No more lice! It has a lite sulfur smell, that was to be expected, it does not bother me. Some fellow farmers mentioned it can be offputting, but not the case here.
